Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort My cousin and I stayed out in the country and we enjoyed our stay very much. We felt as though we were experiencing rural Italy. All the food they made was grown on their farm and it was so delicious. We also felt the location was great. The country rooms were still in walking distance of both the restaurants in town and the Ostia Antica ruins. Overall we had a wonderful time here and would recommend staying here to anyone.

Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort Set in a beautiful building and in a very peaceful area. Food is absolutely delicious. Staff were all very helpful and kind. Rooms were refined and beautifully furnished. We strongly recommend this hotel.

Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort Was very disappointed at the looks of the rooms very tired looking, needed to be d. Your young lady at the front desk was very friendly, kind, and helpful to us, couldn't have been nicer. When viewing your info on the web, only the few km's to the airport seemed good; however, the traffic was horrible, both coming and going. It took us more than 30 minutes to reach the airport.

Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort I enjoyed the surroundings at Ostia Antica. I just had to walk across the street & I could walk right into an uncrowded ruins site to explore. Wish I could have had a couple more days to explore, it would take at least a few days to go through all of the ruins & the museum & gift shop. Good food in the cafeteria. (Ruins are closed mondays.) The hotel room windows face the "square" which people gathered in, church was there, etc. Slept well even with window open all night. Not too loud outside. Good breakfast. Pharmacy & laundry right across the street as well. Pharmacist could speak English, laundry was done the next day. The hotel called to schedule a Taxi to take me to airport & got me a very good deal (30.)

Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort They want to be a country "resort" but they fall well below that level. It was not a resort at all. There were no evening meals available. The very short trip to the airport in their "taxi" was 28 Euros when it appeared from the information that it was part of the "inn's" services. The young woman at the front desk was more than helpful. The manager, apparently her father, seemed clueless about the available facilities. Everyone was pleasant. We would probably stay there again for it's proximity to Osta Antica but I don't have any friends who would rough it. One night we were direcxtly below the airport flight path and all night there was incredible noise. There was no telephone in the room.

Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort The owner was very friendly, stayed open late and, because it was late and raining, he even picked us up from the metro station. Then, because we had an early flight and he didn't want us to lose time in the morning, he upgraded our room! We stayed in one of the towers. I was touched by the care and pride he took in some of the special room details: toothbrushes, chocolates and even a cute bedtime story and a coin for the Trevi fountain. My only complaint would be that the room had a strong scent of some cleaning product or Potpori.

Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort A very pleasant stay in a very interesting area. We enjoyed it a lot and only wish that we could have stayed longer. My only suggestionis that more information on the rooms be provided onthe website. We didn't know until we arrived that the actual rooms were some distance from the "castle" the main hotel area. That was no problem as the manager drove us to our rooms however it would have been worthwhile to know the general layout before hand. But overall an enjoyable visit and a good price.

Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort Our room (which was a country property) was most satisfactory. Our only complaint was the breakfast. It was the poorest of six different properties we stayed at on this trip. The hotel was extremely convenient both for visiting the Roman Ruins and getting to the airport.

Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort We booked a 'country' room, but did not realize that it was about a third of a mile out of the town and only accessible by walking a dirt road. This upset my husband, being caught by surprise. It was not an issue to get our luggage to the room because the staff took us in their mini van. However, we would not have been able to get our luggage back to the main office in the morning where breakfast was served prior to departing for the airport. To solve the problem, the staff called us a cab that would pick us up at our room, take us to the main office for breakfast, with our luggage in the car, and wait for us prior to taking us to the airport. We absolutely loved the room and the setting. The hosts were hospitable enough to provide a fairy tale to read, chocolates and a coin for the Trevi fountain. It was lovely and I recommend it highly (assuming the transportation is worked out or the guests have their own car).

Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort We only stayed one night and the hotel staff was very helpful, accommodating our late arrival and early departure and making a dinner reservation at a nearby restaurant. It seemed also that the hotel provided lots of information on local activities and sights if we had the opportunity to stay longer.

The hotel general location was easy to find but I couldn't actualy see that I was at the hotel entrance even when I walke past it and was standing direcly in front of it. Poorly signed. The hotel is extremely charming but 2 things detracted from the experience. A bathroom badly in need of modernizng and lack of air-conditioning. I will use the hotel again because of the location and recommend it for "non-summer" periods.

Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort They list their address as being in 'Ostia' when, in face, they're in 'Ostia Antica'. It took my taxi driver 20 minutes to finally get someone on the phone (after being hung up on once!) to tell him where the hotel was. It then cost me 35 Euro to travel from Fiumicino Airport to the hotel, a ten minute ride at best. The hotel suggested a restauraunt, the 'Monumento', which turned out to be a real tourist trap and was probably the worst meal I've ever had in Italy (after many, many trips). This was not a good experience, although the physical hotel itself was quite beautiful.

Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort After decades of searching, we have finally found the perfect place to stay when flying in and out of Fiumicino airport! As a retired couple without children, we prefer the town rooms/apartments on the square facing the church and castle. The cost there is more than we usually spend, but worth the extra cost as accommodations are beautifully decorated and comfortable, and the setting is incomparable. Only negative is bathrooms are small with poor lighting, but ours did have a great view! The amazing archaeological park of Ostia Antica is just a block away! Charming owner/manager will help in any way possible to ensure your every desire is satisfied...just ask!

Rodrigo De Vivar Country & Resort This hotel is in a lovely old community with families gathering around at various venues. It was a very quiet hotel with a lovely courtyard and locked parking across the street. The staff were very friendly.
