Relais Borgo San Pietro is nestled in nature, cloaked in serenity and embraced by natural beauty, even if close to the main ways of communication and only a couple of miles from Cortona. Relais Borgo San Pietro is an ancient 16th century farm, transformed in Relais (country hotel)  through restoration works that have brought back the antique magnificence of the little village, emphasizing its typical characteristics such as the stone facade, the inside ceilings with beams, the "cotto" pavements and the fire places made of "serena" stone, all traditional building materials of the Valdichiana. The outside areas, with the stairs and the little alleys which, from the Relais, lead to the swimming pool, the landscaping, the wonderful arcade of the 1600's, and the antique well, all contribute to making this Relais/Hotel an enchanted corner of local history.

The Hotel has 14 rooms all equipped with every modern comfort.

Relais Borgo San Pietro is located at the foothills of Cortona, one of the oldest towns in Italy, with its characteristic roofs, towers and churches, that make it resemble a painting hanging from the sky. Cortona is one of the Tuscan towns that best represent Tuscany with its artistic treasures, museums, Etruscan walls, medieval streets and renaissance palaces that make it a town out of time; as well as its famous and seductive wines and food specialties, not to mention olive oil.

A1 Autostrada del Sole: from the Valdichiana motorway exit take the Siena-Perugia expressway, direction Perugia. There are 3 exits for Cortona: 1. Cortona via Manzano; 2. Cortona via Lauretana; 3. Cortona via SS 71 (advised route). Take the SS 71 direction Arezzo, and a few Kms after the town of Camucia you will reach the village of Tavarnelle. Here go to the right following the signs towards "Relais Borgo San Pietro".
