Villa Delle Palme is one of the most attractive and unusual buildings on the island of Lido, in the heart of Venice's lagoon.
Built in 1906 by the engineer Donghi, it maintains its original eclectic appearance that has been enhanced by recent refurbishment work. Its Liberty style blends with a number of Renaissance features to produce an extreme elegance with Modernist undertones. It was originally designed as a private residence, but was later cleverly converted to welcome guests in the early 1950s. Today its original structure remains unchanged and is characterised by a spacious Lobby and an impressive staircase linking the building's three storeys and culminating in a series of panoramic terraces overlooking the lagoon of Venice. The Villa, named after the many palms that form its attractive backdrop and contribute to the creation of a laid back atmosphere, is surrounded by a large garden, which also includes a guest car park.
An Internet Point is available in the Hotel Lobby.
Check in be made at the Villa Delle Palme until 11.00 pm. Reception will remain closed from 11.00 until 08.00 am of the day after, no reception staff available during that time.
The brand new furnishings and interiors have been carefully chosen to recreate the typical atmosphere of Venetian buildings, where colour and fabrics play an important role in suggesting richness and magic; from the bright red, gold and yellow of the Lobby to the blues with traditional Venetian decorations in the dining areas, to relaxing greens for the bedrooms.
Guests' rooms have soundproofed walls and doors and are equipped with a range of comforts such as an en suite bathroom, air-conditioning and heating that can be adjusted directly in the room, satellite television, hairdryer, safe, mini-bar, direct dial telephone and an ADSL socket for Internet use, in order to make your stay both pleasant and unique.
The hall boasts a peaceful and privileged location, just a few steps from
the main terminal that links Lido with Piazza San Marco (12 minutes) and a
few minutes' walk from the island's Gran Viale Centro, the shady promenade
that leads to the beaches. Easy access is also available to the lagoon's
famous islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello, as well as the venues for
international conferences and cultural events held in Venice such as the
two yearly Art and Architecture Exhibition in the Giardini (7 minutes) and
the Venice Film Festival held on Lido. Bikes and tandems are available for rental for seaside rides.
Hotel staff will be pleased to recommend guests nearby trattorie and
characteristic restaurants specialised in typical Venetian cuisine.

By Car
At the end of the bridge that leads into Venice from the mainland there is
a road sign to Ferry Boat to Lido. The car ferry runs every 50 mins and
the crossing lasts 35 mins.
From the train station:
Vaporetti, or water buses, leave for San Marco every 10 mins: Lines 51, 61 and 82 run to Lido via San Marco. Line 1 is the express line that becomes Line N after 11 p.m.
It travels the entire length of the Grand Canal and takes about one hour
to reach Lido.
All the other lines have a journey time of approximately 35 mins.
From Marco Polo
The Alilaguna line links the airport to San Marco and Lido
and coincides with the main flight arrival times. Journey time
approximately 50 mins.
From Treviso Airport
A bus service runs between Treviso Airport and Treviso train station and
takes approximately 15 minutes, taxis from the airport to the station
require approximately 5 mins. Passengers are advised to make sure they
alight at Venice's Santa Lucia Station, rather than at Venezia-Mestre
(the stop before Venice). The journey from Mestre station to Venice
station lasts approximately 15 minutes.

From Lido Terminal to the Hotel
Turn right out of the terminal, after 300 metres you will cross a
bridge, take Via Enrico Dandolo, the 2nd turning on the left
approximately 100 metres beyond the bridge, turn left and you will find
the hotel 50 metres further ahead on the right.
The boat service to Saint Mark's Square runs every 5 mins during the day and every 20 mins throughout the night and the journey time is approximately 12 mins.

Hotel Villa Delle Palme Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. There is a vaporetto about every 10/15 minutes and it is a lovely trip to St Marks square so there is no disadvantage to being a bit away from the main area of Venice. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Hotel Villa Delle Palme Sono stata un po' stupita dal fatto che la nostra camera avesse un bagno per disabili, cosa che personalmente trovo piuttosto scomodo. Abbiamo chiesto di cambiare camera ma "ovviamente" tutte le altre erano occupate, e noi avevamo prenotato una camera "standard" quindi non si poteva fare nulla. Il servizio colazione era purtroppo gestito da 1 sola persona, che chiaramente non ce la faceva a fare tutto. Siamo arrivati oltre mezz'ora prima della fine del servziio, ed il pane era finito, di cose salate rimaneva 1 fettina di formaggio e 2 di salame. Diciamo che se tutto fosse stato disponibile subito la colazione sarebbe stata da 6.5-7 (non c'era poi una gran varietà), però il servizio l'ha resa decisamente sotto la media. Tutto sommato comunque non è andata male, e considerando i prezzi a Venezia, una camera doppia a 80€ a notte va più che bene, ma mi aspettavo di meglio. Ah se qualcuno si volesse collegare ad internet dalla hall, sono ben 3€ per 15 minuti...

Hotel Villa Delle Palme Sehr nettes kleines Hotel mit sehr guter zentralen Lage. Zimmer sind etwas klein, aber man gewöhnt sich dran. Das Frühstückservice könnte besser sein, denn für Spätaufsteher ist das kleine Buffet bereits geplündert und es gibt nicht viel Nachschub!

Hotel Villa Delle Palme Es liegt sehr schön ruhig und hat einen schönen Vorgarten, sowie schöne Terrassen auf dem Dach, aber das Zimmer war viel zu eng, das Bad viel zu klein und das Frühstück nicht so gut.

Hotel Villa Delle Palme Ein sehr nettes kleines Hotel in einem schönen Palmengarten. Das Service beim Frühstück und bei der Rezeption sehr freundlich. Unser Zimmer war sehr klein, obwohl laut Reservierung ein Superior Doppelzimmer, auch die Dusche im Badezimmer sehr schmal, kein Standardmaß im herkömmlichen Sinn, hoffentlich haben wir auch das von uns gebuchte Zimmer erhalten!!Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel und würden uns jederzeit wieder für dieses Hotel entscheiden.
