Situated in a recently renovated twentieth century building, Hotel Ideal expands over two floors, with an elegant hall facing the road and a welcoming, little tavern where breakfast is served. With wooden lower walls and painted upper walls in intense tones, the rooms of our hotel in Naples are furnished in refined and functional elegance. A full continental style breakfast is served each morning between 7.00 and 10.30 and offers you a large selection that will fully satisfy all tastes and even the greatest expectations. Hotel Ideal is just a stroll (only 50 meters) from the railway station, in an area of the historic center of the city. Just a short walk from this hotel in Naples, one can find the renowned Rettifilo (Corso Umberto), an unrivaled street for shopping or a stroll, culminating in Piazza del Plebiscito, the monumental center of the city. The walk starts here which takes in the sea up to Mergellina, where you will have the chance to admire the famous view of the Gulf of Naples. Extremely close to the hotel, the Church of Santa Maria del Carmine, in the square bearing its name, one of the most interesting historical and artistic locations, and one of the most loved by the Neapolitans.

By car: from the A1 motorway, take the exit for Naples and continue in the direction of the A3 / E45 for 4 km. Continue for Naples -Reggio Calabria and take the exit for Naples Center. At the first traffic light turn right in Via Ferraris and drive ahead for 200 meters along Corso Arnaldo Lucci. You will arrive in Piazza Garibaldi and the station is on your right. Hotel Ideal is on your left.

From the airport, by car: take the ring road in the direction of Pozzuoli and exit at Corso Malta. Drive towards Via Nuova Poggioreale and turn right in Piazza Nazionale. Take Corso Novara to the left, then turn right onto Via Firenze. After circa 100 meters turn left onto Via Torino. Once you arrive in Piazza Garibaldi, you will find Hotel Ideal on the opposite side of the road.

From the airport, by bus: there are two buses that take you from the airport to Piazza Garibaldi, where you will find our hotel: the 3S, normal line bus, that leaves circa every thirty minutes (cost of ticket, to be bought before boarding, is 1 €). The other bus is the Alibus, a special shuttle that arrives in the major squares of Naples and costs 3€ (you can buy the ticket on board).

From the airport, by taxi: the average cost of a taxi from the airport to Hotel Ideal is circa 13.00 €.

Hotel Ideal Good hotel for short stays. My wife and i only stayed one noght when travelling around Italy. Room was clean. Staff were courteous. Overall, we would stay here again.

Hotel Ideal As advertised, the hotel's location is the main reason it's called the "Ideal" - close to trains and buses so that you can quickly get out of the neighborhood, which is not a good one. Moreover, through no one's fault, construction is going on at this moment so the view from your window is not a good one. I had asked for a courtyard room - didn't get one so it was noisy during the night. On the plus side, the service was good. Thanks to the young concierge at the desk, Davide, we were able to leave out bags with the hotel for four days while we visited relatives in Calabria. Davide was alsways there to answer our questions and to give advice. Since Naples was besieged with strikes during our short stay there, his being there to help made our trip to Naples bearable.

Hotel Ideal Keep in mind that this hotel is on Piazza Garibaldi, which is extremely convenient for transportation, but noisy and a bit seedy. We didn't have a problem with it, and the hotel itself was clean and pleasant, but some might find it not the best of neighborhoods.

Hotel Ideal Easy check-in even though we had a last-minute adjustment to rooms; very helpful with catching the bus, finding a change place, etc. Could have been a problem to mention that there is no elevator. Breakfast adequate. Spacious rooms except single.

Hotel Ideal There was no courtesy of a concierge service. He gave a room in which the tv was not working. The a/c also had to be paid for separately.

Hotel Ideal En deux mots mes observations : Hôtel bien situé (à proximité des transports), même si quartier peu réjouissant. Chambres un peu petites. Pas de prise de courant disponible. Salle de petit déjeuner un peu petite Gros défaut : pas d'ascenseur! Certes il n'y a que deux étages, mais si les bagages sont lourds, c'est pénible Mais bon, pour 39 euros la nuit (la moitié du prix normal, grâce à la réservation internet à l'avance), a-t-on le droit de se plaindre ??? Assurément non !

Hotel Ideal bon rapport qualité/prix. Petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet : choix et quantité très limité (si on arrive après 9h30, il n'y a plus de pain), local étouffant (dans la cave, sans aération)

Hotel Ideal Das Hotel liegt sehr nah zum Bahnhof (ca. 50 Meter). Die Gegend ist zwar verrufen, aber so schlimm fanden wir es jetzt nicht. Das Hotel hat einigermaßen gutes Frühstück mit leckerem Kaffee, süßen Croissants, Brötchen und Belag zu bieten. Im ersten Stock befindet sich eine Bar, in der man günstig etwas trinken kann und auch das Internet benutzen darf. Die Zimmer scheinen unterschiedlich groß zu sein. Unser Doppelzimmer war allerdings sehr klein mit extrem kurzen Betten.

Hotel Ideal Nettes Personal, insgesamt recht sauberes Zimmer (aber es ist ja auch nicht viel drin...).

Hotel Ideal Zimmer sind winzig, Toilette und Dusche nur durch Klettern über das Bett zu erreichen.
