Hotel Fontana Check with them before travelling if there is a public work on going near the hotel. We could not sleep on the second night because Amalfi's gov has a policy that road work and pavements need to be done at night (from 10 pm to 4 am approximately). If there is work on going you will certainly here it in this hotel, since it is in the Cathedral's square.

Hotel Fontana Rooms are small, but otherwise spectacular. My basement room developed an intense odour that I assume was sewer gas... had it been there when I arrived or had I been staying more than 1 night, I would have requested another room. My friend's room did not have this problem.

Hotel Fontana Very nice hotel... I would stay there again. Only small complaint was that we requested a room with a view and had no response, and ended with a room without view. Otherwise, a very positive experience.

Hotel Fontana We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Fontana, the best we stay in on a 7 week trip around Europe. The location was central, fronting on to the town square with restuarants and activities and our room overlooked the beach and ocean, a must to if you love the ocean. The rooms were well insulated from outside noise by double glazed windows and the mattress ensured a good night sleep - no old sagging springs. Air conditioning kept us cool when the sea breeze disappeared. The room was extemely well decorated as illustrated on the web page. Breakfast presented a huge selection and the staff were always friendly and helpful, especially as we could not speak Italiano. Hotel Fontana will spoil you, if only the rest of Europes accommodation was this good!

Hotel Fontana Great location in some respects but the trade off for being in a central location was the noise. External noise which is understandable, intenal noise including inconsiderate guests, poor sound proofing, and being just behind reception made sleep very difficult. I also still have a bad back two weeks later after some very uncomfortable beds

Hotel Fontana Ambiente molto familiare e grande pulizia sia degli ambienti comuni che delle stanze. Particolarmente curata, rispetto alla categoria dell'hotel, la prima colazione. Straordinaria l'ubicazione sia delle stanze fronte mare che di quelle sulla piazza centrale di Amalfi.

Hotel Fontana Consiglio questo hotel a chiunque voglia andare a visitare Amalfi perchè, per la sua posizione in pieno centro (con vista sul mare!!) e l'ottimo servizio che offre, il prezzo è decisamente conveniente!!!

Hotel Fontana Rezeption war sehr kompetent, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein negativer Aspekt war ein Herr (Angestellter oder Chef ?), der mehrmals während des Frühstücks scheinbar aufgabenlos aber mit Finger in der Nase bei der Kaffeemaschine herumstand. Das war sehr unappetitlich.

Hotel Fontana wunderbares zimmer mit ausblick vom bett aufs meer - stundenlang hätte man nur auf dem Balkon sitzen und dem Treiben auf der Piazza zusehen können, wären die Wanderungen nicht so verlockend gewesen. Selten so einen erholsamen schlaf in einem hotel erlebt. zum abschied gab es eine kleine aufmerksamkeit des hauses mit handgeschriebenen zeilen. wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten urlaub im fontana.
