Hotel Canova is housed within a remodeled ancient building which once
was a monks' monastery. Open since 1900, it is one of Rome's best
3-star hotels for the care put in delivering services that make a stay
at the hotel a truly comfortable one.
For the convenience of guests, the hotel provides tourist information
and also books excursions and guided visits to the most famous museums
and landmarks of Rome.

Very close to the Ministry of the Interior and to the Public Offices it is very well serviced by public transport that take just a few minutes to get to the main tourist sites in the city. Trams, buses and metro (Cavour stop) are only a few meters from the hotel and a 15-minute walk will get you to the Coliseum, the Imperial Forum, the Quirinale, and to Altare della Patria (Altar to the Motherland).Shopping streets like Via Nazionale, Via Frattina, Via del Corso and Via Condotti are only 10 to 20 minutes away on foot. Located in the heart of Rione Monti or Suburra, the hotel commands a prime location next to landmarks from Medieval times and some more recent ones, which have appeared over time in this most ancient of Roman neighborhoods.

By plane: if you are coming either from Fiumicino Airport or from Ciampino Airport, take the shuttle to (or the Leonardo express train from Fiumicino) Termini, Roma Central Station. From here take the bus number 75 or number 84 and get off at the third stop on via Cavour (Quattro Cantoni). Go back 10 meters and go down on your left on Via Santa Maria Maggiore. The first road you will come upon is Via Urbana, continue for 20 meters on the right side and you will have arrived.

By car: from the Freeways take the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA- Rome's ring road) and then Via Salaria exit towards Centro. Go down its whole length and then continue straight on Via Pinciana until reaching Via Veneto. Take Via Veneto to the end at Piazza Barberini. Continue on Via Quattro Fontane and cross Via Nazionale. Continue straight on via De Pretis until you come to Via Urbana on your right, after Piazza del Viminale. You have arrived, Hotel Canova is at number 10.

Hotel Canova Breakfast was a bit basic and same each day - coffee not good for Italy! One of the receptionists was very friendly and helpful. The room at the back of the top floor seems a strange layout and has a problem of thin walls! Otherwise, well-situated for access to main turist attractions, clean and pleasant.

Hotel Canova Era la prima volta che prenotavo un'albergo via internet e per questo ero un po' scettica. Ma sono stata piacevolmente impressionata dalla qualità dell'hotel, dello staff e dall'esattezza delle informazioni date dal sito. La posizione centrale, vicino alla stazione, ma in una stradina calma alza di molto il voto che darei all'hotel. Niente, veramente niente da ridire sullo staff, molto gentile, accogliente, affabile. Tutte grandi qualità che fanno di una persona una futura cliente. Raccomanderò senza alcuna esitazione quest'albergo ad amici e parenti. Grazie di tutto a tutto lo staff.

Hotel Canova The location of the hotel was better than we expected from the online information. All the facilities were very small for a 3 star hotel, eg. we hardly managed to fit in 2 suitcases into the elevator; the room itself was very small. However, the beds were good and we had plenty of hot water. The Tv functioned but we could not access an English channel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return to the hotel if we travelled to Rome again

Hotel Canova Ci siamo trovati benissimo, non solo per l'ubicazione che permette in pochi minuti di arrivare in centro storico ma anche per la gentilezza del personale. Buona la colazione.

Hotel Canova Si trova a qualche minuto dalla stazione Termini e dal colosseo. Le camere anche se non molto grandi, sono pulite e confortevoli.

Hotel Canova Considerando il rapporto qualità prezzo, trattasi forse del peggior hotel 3 stelle che mi sia mai capitato. Il bagno della stanza era molto vecchio e poco funzionante ed inoltre c'era una finestrella con normale vetro trasparente che dava su dei palazzi senza una tendina; la colazione si faceva attraverso le macchinette automatiche come quelle degli uffici..

Hotel Canova Excelente ubicación, cerca de la estación de tren Termini. Las habitaciones pequeñas pero muy limpia. Bueno el desayuno. El personal atento.

Hotel Canova Accueil très courtois et francophone. Chambre très propre et silencieuse mais exigüe. Bonne situation 15mn Termini 25 mn Colisée, dans un quartier peu touristique. Petit déjeuner convenable sur une agréable terrasse.

Hotel Canova Die lage des Hotels war sehr gut, die Terrasse zum Früstücken sehr angnehm und das zimmer gut eingerichtet alles neu Wie wahren sehr zufrieden mit der wahl unseres Hotels.

Hotel Canova Es hat alles gestimmt: Lage (super zu den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln), Personal stets sehr freundlich und nett, Frühstück ganz gut, Zimmer sehr sauber (auch wenn etwas klein aber das ist ja standard)

Hotel Canova Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Das Personal waren sehr Hilfsbereit und freundlich.Die Zimmer waren klein aber alles war vorhanden und funktionierte einwandfrei. Das Fruhstück war reichlich und Dank ein modernen Kaffeemaschine hatte man die Auswahl von Cappuccino,Americano,etc. Ich kann Hotel Canova nur empfehlen!

Hotel Canova Personal hilfsbereit und freundlich, klimatisierte Zimmer klein, sauber, mit TV und Minikühlschrank, alles ein wenig eng, aber immerhin gibts einen Aufzug. Frühstück im 5.Stock - wahlweise auf Dachterrasse - für italienische Verhältnisse üppig, sogar mit Schinken und Käse. Kein Hotelparkplatz , dafür bewachte Garage ca 150 meter entfernt, man muss Auto und Schlüssel abgeben, kostet pro Tag 25,- Euro, kein Rabatt für Hotelgäste.

Hotel Canova A very nice Hotel, quite central (about 10 Minutes walk) to the railway station (where also non-stop-buses from the airport Ciampino end). A good choice.

Hotel Canova Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis Sehr nettes Personal Sehr saubere Zimmer Nur ein passender Safe-Schlüssel war bis zum Ende unseres Aufenthaltes nicht zu erhalten Das Frühstück ist Ok, die angebotenen Kaffeearten aus dem Automaten sind verbesserungsbedürftig - aber es gab auch Teebeutel zur Auswahl.
