New and charming, the Alamanni Hotel is located on the second floor of a modern palace, close to the historical centre, near the Central Station of " Santa Maria Novella" (150 meters), the Palace of the Conferences, the Fortress "Da Basso" and only five minutes walking from the Historical Centre. The hotel was conceived to welcome its guests in a warm and elegant atmosphere, with precious materials furniture such as cherry wood and Carrara marbles.
The staff of the Alamanni Hotel supplies whichever type of tourist information and service of reservations, the staff is highly and optimally trained to give the Guests a pleasant stay in Florence.
The Alamanni Hotel, inaugurated after a careful restructure in July 2002, has 17 rooms, all have private bath furnished with marbles of Carrara and are equipped with every comfort.
At The Alamanni Hotel is possible to have a rich and pleasant buffet breakfast, available from 7.30 to 11.00 am, while snack bar try to satisfy the pleasures of who is hunger or silks outside from the traditional timetables of the restaurants, offering sandwiches, homemade pizzas, typical crepes stuffed with cheese and tomato or rocket salad, flat bread, and in order to finish, delicious ice-cream " tartufi" in different tastes.
Alamanni Hotel is located on the second floor of a modern building, in the historical city centre, just 100 metres far from the central railway station of Santa Maria Novella and only a few steps from Florence most important monuments, museums (the Cathedral of Santa Maria in Fiore, Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio) and famous fashion streets (via Tornabuoni, via Calzaiouli). Alamanni Hotel is located just few minutes walking from Fortezza da Basso and from Palazzo Congressi, Florence most important exposition centres. In the hotel’s sorroundings you can easly find any kind of shops, banks, typical Tuscan restaurants, pizzerias and bars.

From the railway station of Santa Maria Novella: take the station’s right hand exit and turn right down stairs, keep walking on pedestrian street next the station's wall for 100 metres, after findomestic shop we are, above "Imperial shop".
By car: from motorways, exit Firenze SCANDICCI and follow street signs “Firenze centro” and “S.M. Novella Stazione”. Once you're arrived at Porta al Prato go straight on Viale Fratelli Rosselli, after hotel "GOLF" keep and turn right at the traffic light, you're at the beginning of via Alamanni, slow down and look up to second floor balcony, you will see a red flag with hotel name, there is the entrance of the hotel.
From Florence airport – A. Vespucci: in 10 minutes by taxi (15/20 EUR ride) or by the bus shuttle which links the airport to the railway station. The hotel is 100 mt from the railway station. Distance about 5 km.

Hotel Alamanni Once inside the hotel, the rooms are nice and comfortable. The hotel is right across the street from the train station and is walkable to every main attraction.
Hotel Alamanni The hotel is located on a sketchy street that is adjacent to the train station, thus if you are a single female, I suggest you are in your room by nightfall. The breakfast is minimal but typical for Italy. The staff is nice until you ask something of them then they are quite rude and seem to resent their job and your very existence. Internet is not included and is quite pricey to pay for.

Hotel Alamanni Located right opposite the train station. Rooms were large and confortable. Staff were very helpful at all times. Breakfast was adequate.

Hotel Alamanni It was very close to the train station and a few minutes from the city centre. You have to climb several flights of stairs. We enjoyed breakfast.

Hotel Alamanni We scheduled an apartment for 5 people. We arrived to view the apartment: filthy, trash in the rooms, kitchen now cleaned, beds with old sheets on them or without sheets, bathroom with papaer everywhere and still in toilet.

Hotel Alamanni no info about hotel being on 2nd floor of a building with a very small sign outside saying its the hotel, so directions are needed to arrive at the 2nd floor reception. But staff were very helpful.
