Art & Hotel We stayed in this hotel on our first and last day in Italy. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel - which is very nice decorated, in artistic Italian style. Rooms are very spacious, clean, full of all facilities you might need staying in a hotel. The breakfast is also very good, in Swedish Bufet style.

Art & Hotel 1. It's a little bit noisy because of the location - close to the airport 2. Even if the room was non-smoking, you can still feel the smell of cigarettes.

Art & Hotel It is located only a few minutes taxi ride from the airport orio al serio. We had a great stay. Rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and very quiet. We would definetely stay here again if we ever back to Bergamo.

Art & Hotel While the hotel and room were reasonable, the staff attitude was average at the counter and very poor in the bar and restaurant. The breakfast was fine and the morning staff were friendly.

Art & Hotel The staff was extremely rude: the hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport in Bergamo, and when my wife went to the desk to inquire about the service, the shuttle driver shouted NO! Call a taxi! and then quickly dismissed her. So the clerk at the desk called a taxi and the taxi driver charged us from the time the hotel called him to the time we arrived at Orio al Serio airport.

Art & Hotel Some assistance should be available to locate the hotel from Bergamo Airport ,especially late at night . I had hired a car at the airport and found great difficulty. However as you can observe, it was all worth it!

Art & Hotel The only area I thought the hotel fell short of acceptable quality was the evening restaurant. I felt the food was not good enough in quality for a person in Italy for business. If you are catering for holiday makers on a limited budget - this may be acceptable, but not for those at your hotel on business. It may be a good idea to have a menu for those who don't speak Italian (perhaps in English!) You staff at reception were very helpful, as were the breakfast staff.

Art & Hotel An attractive feature of the hotel is that it is near Bergamo airport. The hotel claims 5km - realistically by road it is probably 8km. I asked the hortel reception to book a taxi from the hotel to the airport so they called a taxi which cherged from the railway station in Bergamo to the hotel then to the airport, a total cost of 25EUR. This is unreasonable - an airport taxi would cost 13EUR at that time of day. I am not a business traveller with a company to pay my costs.

Art & Hotel Asked for non smoking room but were given a smoking room that smelled - they were great about changing it for us quickly. 2 light in the room were burnt out. Overall the room was very nice though. Comfortable and roomy for 3 people. Had an early flight and so breakfast (which is included in the price) wasn't going to be ready but we were told there would be coffee and a few things available for us before we left for the airport. Fellow who was getting breakfast ready got extremely upset with us and kicked us out. Very rude and yet almost the whole buffet was set up. We could have easily had a bowl of cereal and some fruit and juice and it would not have been a problem except we were half an hour earlier than the scheduled time. Other hotels we stayed at were very accomodating. Fellow at the front desk in the evening said it wouldn't be a problem but the fellow at desk in the morning didn't know anything about it???? Wouldn't stay again for that very reason as price rather high if breakfast not available for people with early flights. Hotel was hard to find and not that close to the airport.

Art & Hotel The hotel was excellent, truly 4 star. Breakfast was good. Only thing we missed was lack of coffee/tea making facilities in room. Bar and snack food ok. Not much choice of restaurants in Stezzano. We stayed 4 nights and from there travelled by bus to Bergamo (1.30 euro). Bus runs every 20mins and takes 20mins. Last bus 22.00hrs. Also travelled by train to Milan and Lake Como by train 50mins and 90 mins. Location of hotel fine if you don't mind a short walk (10 mins to bus stop).

Art & Hotel 1. Corridors are a bit narrow to pass with luggage when cleaning equipment is there. 2. We did not receive a proper treatment from one of the receptionists. The others where very cooperative.

Art & Hotel This was a truly excellent hotel and well worth the money we paid. The only criticism is that there was no on site restaurant but it did not adversly affect our stay. We would definately return.
